Fic meme
Taken from [livejournal.com profile] oobiemcruby, in exchange for a request.

"The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. (If you absolutely can't write, maybe find a creative alternative?)"

Keep it to fandoms I know, preferably Doctor Who, though. I'm not ruling it out, but I also probably won't be able to do Doctor/Amy or Doctor/River in a romantic context, because I don't get or particularly like either. And simply I won't do a pairing/prompt-thing which is specifically anti-Ten.5 or Ten.5/Rose. Because I <3 them and him.

...Why is this locked? Fail, self.

It;s a double-drabble, actually, but!
What?”

“It's just for a day, Rose. Two, tops. I've only a few more things to do, and we really can't from the inside of a cell.”

She still wasn't impressed. “Why can't we just break out?”

“Ah, yes. We could, but then it would make it more difficult to make it around town in the open.” He frowned. “Really, Rose, there's no other way. And besides! It'll be fun, brilliant, even. You should see this planet's celebrations, Rose.”

And he was giving her that pouting, pleading, expectant look only he seemed to manage, and she couldn't say no even if she really wanted to. She sighed. “Alright then, fine. But ask me properly this time. Need a story to tell, yeah?”

He didn't look convinced, but having gotten his way, he seemed happy enough to go along with it. He dropped to a knee with startling speed, and clasped one of her hands in his. “Rose Marion Tyler, will you marry me?” If not for the twinkling amusement and mischief in his eyes, she might have believed he were serious.

She couldn't help grinning anyway. Maybe two days wouldn't be so bad.

Nine, Jack, Rose (not OT3, though I'd of course love Nine/Rose as an element). Poker.

Triple drabble, but I regret my Nine voice is awful.
“You're cheating.”

“You're the telepathic alien.”

“And yet, you are the con-man.”

“I'm flattered you think I could cheat without sleeves.” There was a pause. “It's easier to stash a pack of cards than swap them out mid-game, Doctor.”

“That's it, I'm done touchin' these.”

Rose sighed, and shook her head. While she'd been orchestrating this rescue, she'd half expected to come across them already broken out. From the sounds of it, they didn't even seem like they'd tried. She wasn't sure whether to be exasperated, offended, or flattered.

She settled on exasperated, as she swiped the confiscated keycard beside the cell door.

Two sets of blue eyes turned up toward her in surprise when the door swung inward. The first thing she noted was that octagonal set of playing cards Jack had tried to get her to play with earlier—he'd said something about some kind of Space Poker or another, and she'd suspected he meant to sell her on Strip Poker.

The second thing she noticed was that he'd either convinced the Doctor or...she didn't actually want to know how Jack lost his clothes again. But what lost her chance for a rescue quip was the Doctor. He was in a better state, still in boots and jeans, but his lacking jacket and jumper seemed, to her, far more naked and shocking than Jack's undress.

“Rose!” Jack smiled. “About time you got here.”

“You're not playing strip-poker.” That's not what she meant to say.

Jack grinned far too brightly, but the Doctor spoke over him, dropping the cards to the table with a look of distaste—or perhaps annoyance at whatever hand he'd been dealt—and standing. “No.”

She only got to hear the whole story when they next saw Mickey.

Re: Triple drabble, but I regret my Nine voice is awful.
Hahaha! I really like it! Your Nine voice is not awful at all. And he and Jack make such a great pair! lol

I understnd your apprehension, though. My sister requested an Eleven and Donna story. Eleven. And Donna. Donna is tough. And Eleven can be tough. TOgether? *sigh* And then I went and wrote almost 1,700 words for her "drabble". Yeah. XD

Aw, thank you. They do, it's very amusing to stick them in the same room.

Oh my. I think I could handle it alright, though with mild trepidation having never written either, but I've seen a lot of RP with Eleven and Donna (Usually DocDonna) chillin' out, so I'd have a frame of reference for how they bounce off each other to draw from. But yay for 1,700 words XD
