Disclaimer: Course I don't own Doctor Who. Of course, even if I did, if I valued my life, I wouldn't tell DR shippers, would I? ;P

AN: Wheee! Another fic. o.o I'm trapped into writing em now. Right, so I saw this one vid that implied an idea of Rose, Jack, Mickey, Sarah Jane, and 10 all travelling together as a group, and it just seemed...cool. Who says The Doctor can only travel with a couple o' people at once, huh? Obviously, alot of things will change along the way, but I'll attempt to see how much they can follow 'canon' while travelling, and how much the other companions will aid in it. (Hmm...Jack...GitF...Flee, Reinette! Flee!)

There are things skimmed over, cause otherwise it'd be a bit too copy-ish...but I'll try to reference all of the changes (as time goes on, of course, the changes will become quite prominent on their own)

9-10/Rose/Jackness

This is a big self-challenge fic. If you have more weight to put on my shoulders, suggest possible companions I forgot, I might add em in. But not Ianto. I don't know his character very well.

Chapter 1

"Ya know what?" He grinned up at his companions as if his earlier pain had completely evaporated. "So was I!"

She did not get the chance to speak, before his grin vanished behind a flare of impossible flame. In a flash, her newly-revived friend had leapt across the room, and thrown her uncerimoniously to the floor, shielding her from whatever had happened to their fellow companion and defacto leader. In other circumstances she might have protested the sudden contact with the hard floor...and in other circumstances, the overly-flirtatious man above her would have no doubt tried to use their position to his advantage.

Two pairs of inquisitive and somewhat hesitant eyes turned toward where their dear friend had been standing, and met a very curious grin.

"Did I miss something?"

She sighed, sitting back in her cozy chair as she watched the sleeping form of this...this...'New Doctor'. If she were perfectly honest, she still barely believed he was the Doctor...and she had seen him change...seen a flicker of that same warmth in his eyes he had reserved only for her. Jack was out in the living room helping Mickey and Jackie set up the christmas decorations.

She smiled faintly at the memory of Jack's first introduction to her mother--and the harsh order from the Doctor that he was not to go out dancing with her...to which Jack had produced his best innocent act, and pretended to look hurt...

Hot tears stung her vision, and she quickly shook her head to remove the painful train of thought from her mind. He said he was the same...but she still could not shake the terrible feeling that she had lost her Doctor, and this one had arrived as some flimsy replacement. A firm hand appeared on her shoulder, squeezing her reassuringly.

"Come on, Rose..." She turned to see a concerned frown on Jack's face. "So he looks different. Maybe he sounds a little different, too. But just look at him!"

He swung out an arm to indicate where the 'new' Doctor was sleeping. "You saw how he was--goofy, awkward, and alien. He's still the Doctor."

"Lots of aliens are goofy and awkward."

"Name one!"

She frowned in thought for a moment, but he winked and nodded before she could say anything. "Thought not."

She sighed in exasperation. "Jack..."

He put up his hand and opened his mouth to ward off her retort, but paused, and gave her a strange look. Before she could ask him what was wrong, he collapsed onto the floor.

"JACK!" She leapt off of the chair and fell to her knees, grabbing his shoulders and shaking him slightly. He seemed to be breathing, but he made no response otherwise. "Jack...Jack! Wake up! MUM!"

--

She closed her eyes a moment, and sighed, as she leaned against the interior of her bedroom door. The past few days had been trying even by her standards. First there had been that psychotic gameshow, then those horrible few hours when she thought she was never going to see him again...and then...and then when he had died and become the man he was now.

But it couldn't have stopped then. Noo. The world, universe, whatever, wasn't fair like that. Then Jack had to collapse and start glowing and sweating and freezing and thrashing, and then the christmas tree tried to kill them all, and the Doctor had done...something...to quell Jack's turmoil, and proceeded to collapse right on top of him. (Jack would probably be quite upset if he ever found out he'd missed that) And then they had to be invaded by an alien race, and then she had to be transported up to the ship with her Mum and Mickey, before they could bring Jack into the TARDIS.

And then the spaceship had to blow up, and her Mum had to make a scene. God, she would love sleeping tonight. If Jack and the Doctor would ever stop fighting about whether Jack could 'just go and tuck her in'.

She groaned and turned around to fling the door open. Two rather surprised looking men turned their gaze to her, as did a rumpled looking Jackie. Good thing she had interrupted it before her Mum could get involved.

"Go. To. Bed." She said it simply, clearly, and slowly. So that any idiot or recovering alien would be able to understand it. "Mum set you two up a bed in the living room."

The Doctor looked nervous. "What? One bed?"

"Aww, I won't bite you first, Doc!"

She sighed. It was like dealing with children. "Go. I don't care what you do while you're their, as long as you are quiet. Some of us haven't slept all day!"

"I can do quiet..."

"Forget it, Jack." The Doctor shot him an almost wary glare, and looked like he were contemplating widening the distance beween the two of them.

Children.

"If you two don't go to bed right now, I'm letting Mum have at you."

CH End.
