To be fair, though, I only do it over Rose and Leela, because I love them.

And both of them fall in love with Time Lords....Leela even has a TIME BABY. What the hell, me?

I was raised on it! My mother was pretty well obsessed with the 4th. I've got...a 1984 calender, the old Doctor Who board game (With, in fact, several planets the Doctor references to being the sites of big battles), BUNCHES of oold DWM magazines...and tons and tons of old VHSes. Including the movie, I think.

I went in to NuWho looking forward to Rose being gone XD (For some reason or another I didn't like her until Aliens of London, and then by Boomtown I was like "Omfgwhut? I don't want her to go! Why?"

Is Charley one of the 8th's BFG companions?

Yes! They're both Companions who can fend for themselves, as opposed to Companions like Peri >.>

But I think when I first decided Leela Was Awesome was when the Doctor tried to explain how the TARDIS was bigger on the inside.

Let me recall how it went...

He showed her two identical cubes. One he put no the top of the console (The mini one they had in the classic series), the other he ran to the other side of the room with, and asked which was bigger

She looked at him like an idiot and said they were the same. He went on into exposition dialog about how they weren't, and the TARDIS harnessed that theory to be bigger on the inside.

She pretty much just kept looking at him like an idiot <3

That and the whole "No thanks for the rescuing, I have a knife" thing (And yknow, the forcing herself into the TARDIS thing) kinda sold me.

Wish she'd been around longer, but I suppose preemptively vindicating fangirls is a decent excuse as any.
